The Elder- Pencil Sketch

Here is another sketch I did some time ago. This one is based off of an elderly woman I had seen at work. She was in her late 90's and was a genuine sweetheart, but she had this natural scowl on her face that I just found fascinating. I've taken some creative liberty with her portrait, such as exaggerating some of her features (like the wrinkles around her neck) but for the the most part this is what she looked like. Materials for this piece was 8.5 x 11 in. printer paper, and a 0.7 Draftmatic Pencil with Pentel blue lead.
